Yeats Richard Strauss - Death and Transfiguration The Esker Festival Orchestra, now in its 12th year, is Ireland’s most exciting and established peer-led orchestra, made up of Irish and international young professionals and advanced students all over the age of 18. Following our highly successful performances of Holst’s Planets last August we are delighted to return again this August to perform a programme of Orchestral masterworks all based on the theme of Transfiguration. This performance will feature beloved works by Wagner, Stravinsky and Richard Strauss as well as the world premiere of a new composition by prize-winning composer, conductor and Esker Festival Founder Peter Joyce
